I hate leading with these numbers because it's not just about the money and that's where this industry is falling off the rails. But I'll start with that because I have that piece for you, too.
Short story: I went online with my first personal brand, Life Before 30, in 2013. I started coaching in 2015. I didn't make more than $10,000 in my business until 2019. I invested $30K in my business this year and booked out my roster doing life coaching and inner work with people.
I thought my passion for personal development work couldn't translate into a business that generated the kind of online income that only these fancy business coaches pull in online. I didn't think people would pay for "inner work" and "self growth" or that I could make it as "just another life coach."
Not true. That's point #1.
Point #2: I needed clear strategy. That helped make my hobby a real business. So do you.
But point #3: It doesn't stop there. Don't be a robot entrepreneur following just what everybody else does. Let's talk about the real stuff that will keep your brand going BEYOND short-term wins.
